I'm not especially creative, so this will have to do. Some might find my lack of creativity a weakness, but it has never been too big a problem, artsy just isn't who I am. However, I make up for it in a bland, but effective, use of technical thinking. I like to read, I find most school assigned writings fun, but not writing for the sake of writing. Expressing my opinion is been a must for me, otherwise I just kind of sit there and twiddle my thumbs. By your request I will have a little fun with this. ☺
I like math because it makes sense, I like English because you can do so much with the language and reading lets me escape when I need it most. I currently have a reading to-do list with over 170 books and growing. Any book worth reading needs to be read at least twice. Learning isn't something most people like, but it's one of the best think anyone can do. The more you know, the more you can do, so you might as well take advantage of schools and build your mind to its full extent. Ranting helps every once in a while, I'm sure you know all about that. I hope that the class we have together will be full of class long discussions on various subjects so far from the original topic you can't even trace where it came from but is still relevant to what we do.
Even at 17 I love coffee, just this afternoon I went to Starbucks and got a Cafe Mocha (and I must say it was rather delicious.) I feel like I'm repeating “I fell...”, “I like...”, I am...” statements, but they are the best way to do it. You wanted to know about me and this is the best way to express it. I procrastinate, however, I always turn things in on time on par with what you would expect from an AP student. Since I like to learn so much I plan to go to college. Some places I'm looking at are Penn State University, KU, Purdue, mainly for engineering and computer sciences.
A fair warning about things that stress me out should be in order. I absolutely HATE it when people smack their lips when they eat, I'd go into it for you, but a paragraph of hateful writing wouldn't serve you very well. I get angry at people who like to be polaric for the sake of being against something you say, not even for the purpose of good argumentation. It's hard for the patience my public mode (I insist upon a certain amount of manners and respect in public that keep me from doings things like yelling at people I don't like in public and what not) grants me to restrain myself when people shamelessly take things. A good examples is when people go for 4 or more pieces, parts, etc, of my baked goods when I bring them to school, or when they hound me for them. Most of the time my manners make me give them one, but there's only so much a man can take.
I am very competitive as a rule. I find it as a strength, although it can sometimes be tapered by my laziness. That doesn't happen much, but sometimes is just not worth the effort. Music helps me get into such a competitive frenzy, I'm listening to my Pandora station right now as I type this. Music can do a lot for ones mood and actions. That why most people have “rev up” playlists that they play before big games, competitions, etc.
I don't like heights, and my extension roller coasters. But I'm willing to ignore that for special people, I'm willing to try things new for those close to me, to get closer. It's the reason I learned how to swim, the reason I work so hard in school, the reason I exercise. Fear is something that can be overcome by will, you just have to find the resolve to do it, sometimes you just need to find the rights person.
On the first day of school I respect all of my teachers the same. It's what they do that determines whether or not they keep that respect. I have had amazing English teachers since the 7th grade, I hope you don't disappoint, not that I think you would. ;) I hope this meager attempt at defining myself will suffice for your first impression of me. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
